Week of 2/26 to 3/2

The big excitement this week was without a doubt our 100th Day of School (see previous post for pics), but we got in lots of learning play on the other days too!

We made our March calendars with pretty rainbows and pots of gold.

In order to learn the 7 colors of the rainbow, we watched a music video called Roy G. Biv. Click the link below the picture to watch it!

We also practiced some counting, singing and dancing!

We made some cute and colorful rainbow friend portraits:

A couple of our centers got us ready for 100th Day. We picked out snacks to make a recipe card, and put together all our sticker shapes to make our capes for the big day.

The kitchen center got a makeover! It is now serving sandwiches and pizza. Employees are particularly excited by the new aprons- a special surprise made by Ms. Heather's mom!

March is here! We learned about the expression "In like a lion, out like a lamb" at our circle time. We made lions and lambs to decorate our hall bulletin board.

Of course, there is always time each week to hang out with friends and build something new, play in the new filler and toys at the sensory table, or maybe make some matches on the letter board (superhero sounds this week)!

We have big plans for next week, too! Here's a hint of things to come:
