Cleaning Teeth!

We've been talking a lot about teeth over the past few days for dental health month. We read a magazine about teeth, have enjoyed lots of circle time books about teeth, and have enjoyed some teeth themed center fun.

Here we are playing a math game. We added white bean teeth to a giant mouth based on numbers spun on a game spinner. We picked our teeth out of a cup, and hoped we wouldn't get a cavity (black eyed peas)!

After reading "Clarabelle's Teeth," a story about a crocodile that spent all day brushing her giant mouth full of big teeth, we got to work to help Clarabelle out. After getting our giant teeth good and dirty, we worked hard with toothbrushes and toothpaste to get them sparkling clean again.

We rolled out the white play dough and cut out some teeth for more crocodiles:

We made a cute book about healthy dental habits that featured the sight word my. Before adding the word "my" to each page, we practiced making the letters m and y on the LetterSchool app.

100 Day Heroes!

We had a super squad of 100 Day Heroes to celebrate 100th Day on Thursday! We've been getting ready for a while (since the first day of school!), counting out stickers on shapes for our superhero capes, sorting and ordering numerals to 100, exercising as we move Fred the Frog on our hundreds chart.

Cup stacking competition! Each group had 100 cups to use cooperatively to build the biggest structure. The tricky part was working as a team!

Our big task was to count out a 100 piece snack mix. We each planned a recipe, then counted out our ingredients in sets of 10.
