Night Life!

We've been learning about nocturnal animals all month, and we ended the week with a special Day in the Dark! All our activities were done with the lights off, so we could pretend it was nighttime. It was the perfect time to enjoy some different sensory experiences along with our learning!

Glow writing and drawing with highlighters under a blacklight- our papers were shining bright!

Letters, patterns and shapes with Lite Brite!

Slippery, sliding, glowing water beads!

Slime on the light boxes! This was probably the favorite station: glowing slime, monster eyes, little cauldrons and skeleton hands made for a fun sensory spot to play.

Our regular sensory table had lots of light sticks for stirring up the brew!

If we needed a break from the dark, we could take a flashlight and hang out in the teepee to buddy read a good book with a friend!
