Over The Rainbow!

We had some colorful learning this week with
  RAINBOWS!

A new month means a new calendar! Make sure you take a good look at the March calendar- we have a lot of important days coming up this month.

Experimenting with color mixing!

Winter is ending, and Spring is around the corner.
What's our weather today?

Sorting out sounds! We had to really open our ears to sort the Gg, Ww, and Rr sounds.

Parade Preparations! Our WIPP St. Patrick's Day Parade is coming soon on March 13. We are making rainbow colored parade wavers with lots of colored streamers! We are also learning about estimating and problem solving as we try to get the streamers about the same length.

Interactive learning board! We added a new bulletin board activity to the reading rug. Children are working together to match sounds and letters during our independent book time on the rug.

Teen numbers are tricky!! We have been working on mastering the numbers from 10 to 20. First we learn to say the numbers, then we try to identify and order them.

Roy G. Biv is a fun way to remember the order of the color spectrum! Watch below:

We made a rainbow friend for our March placemats too.

And, last but not least, our new sensory bin for the month looks like a rainbow landed right inside!
