Dr. Seuss Week!

Our whole week was all about DR. SEUSS!!!

Monday, we played with The Foot Book.

Using our shoes, we learned about non standard measurement as we figured out how many "feet" long we are, as well as other classroom objects. We also used pom poms to measure books and other small items.

What can we make with a foot?
All kinds of amazing art!

Tuesday we went fishing with One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish.

We went fishing for letters and sounds on the rug.

And practiced our numbers in the goldfish bowl!

One of our snack helpers even sent us a Dr. Seuss snack of green eggs and ham with fish!

The next day was Wacky Wednesday!

We all came to school looking wonderfully weird, wild and wacky!

First thing in the morning, we untangled wacky mixed up names and numbers. At centers, we practiced wild Ww with taped together markers, read Wacky Wednesday together and looked for mistakes, and took dry erase markers on an I Spy adventure as we looked for all the silly mistakes in the pictures.

Thursday was all about The Cat in the Hat!

We made hat shaped books full of rhyming words to read with our families!

We wore hats all day long!

And we made our own cat in the hat masks!

It was a wonderful week!
