Pumpkin Pie Baking!

What's the most important ingredient for pumpkin pie? It's having lots of FRIENDS to bake it with you!

Today we got together with Ms. Jessie's class in Fellowship Hall to have pumpkin pie themed fun. We had 3 centers, and our groups were a happy mix of familiar and new friends. Center 1 was pie baking. We mixed and poured all the ingredients together, and scooped it into tiny pie shells for lots and lots of mini pies.

 

 

  

 

Our second center was pumpkin pie scented play dough that was used to create imaginary cookies, burritos, animals and people.

 

 

 

 

Our third center was menu planning for a yummy feast. We looked through grocery flyers for all our favorite foods, and cut and pasted them onto paper plates. After everyone did every center, and we shared some stories and songs, we went out on the playground while our pies baked.

  

After washing our hands, and saying the blessing, we had a wonderful pie snack. Some of us liked the pie by itself, some thought whipped cream made it even better, and some of us liked to use the pie as a yummy dip for animal crackers.
