Hooray for Our 100 Day Heroes!!

Today was our 100th Day of school- we are officially 100 days smarter!

We came in excited this morning! Our door decorations had been changed to show off our 100 Day Hero skills. We started out with some scratch art "100" necklaces, and then worked on finding some letters and words in our 100 Day Hero poem. Our leader and a helper finished up our pocket chart count by putting all the 90s in order up to 100.

There are so many ways to get to 100!

Exercise to 100: Our heroes have been getting ready for today for a LONG time. Every day, we have added one number to our hundreds chart, and exercised our way through our counting to the current day. Every 10 days we changed our counting exercise. Today we finished the chart, and did 10 jumps, 10 stomps, 10 jumping jacks, 10 head rolls, 10 claps, 10 belly rubs, 10 hops, 10 spins, 10 squats,  and 10 arm stretches!

Count stickers to 100: Over the past week or so, we have been adding 10 stickers to each of 10 shapes. We used all of these to make our 100 Day Hero capes.

Hop to 100: Heroes can hop their way to 100! We hopscotched our way to 100, counting by 10s.

Paint Dots to 100: Using our 100 charts, we used paint dotters to dot our way to 100!

Our BIG job- counting out a 100 piece yummy snack!
We actually started thinking about this on day 99, when we picked our 10 ingredients for the perfect snack mix. We glued pictures of all these tasty treats to a recipe card. Today, we used our card and a 100 day placemat to count out 10 pieces of each of our 10 ingredients. Our 100 snack pieces came home in our book bag today. We had a great snack eating all the leftovers at school! Thank you so much to all our families for sending in snacks!!

Happy 100th Day from our WIPP Heroes!
